The ThinkerSpace is a place to create, learn, and innovate. A place to refine a craft, learn a new skill, invent something, or start a business. We have a small computer lab, 3D printer, laser engraver, vinyl cutter, and just about everything you need to start a small business.
The ThinkerSpace was destined to exist…even if at the time we didn’t know what it would be called, where it would be, or even what it would look like…we just knew we wanted a shared space where we could help others benefit from all that we had acquired. Be it knowledge, experience, resources, tools, or social connections.
The name came about because we wanted to start a MakerSpace, but no matter how we looked at it, “MakerSpace” didn’t quite define what was forming…I liked “TinkerSpace” a place to tinker (an old pastime of mine)…but when we saw ThinkerSpace.us was available, we decided to grab it. From there things just started coming together.
The Blue Ridge Community Center opened their doors to us in July 2022 and we opened in September 2022
