3D printing station

We are currently using an AnyCubic Mega X and Vyper. They compliment each other nicely with opposing reel locations allowing them to overhang.

If anyone is interested we also have an AnyCubic Kobra Go kit that requires assembly. And it could be a one or two session project!

The Mega X is currently set up with the standard 0.4mm nozzle and is used for detailed models at slower speeds. It has a max print speed of 100mm/s, but typically I will run it around 50-60mm/s

The Vyper has a top speed of 180mm/s but I run it around 80-100 and swapped out the nozzle for a 0.6mm. This drastically reduces print times and for most models the 0.6mm nozzle makes no noticeable differences.

The filament rack is based on a design I found online. It uses three laser cut profiles for the feet. Through which threaded rods are added with washers and screws. These provide support for the reels to sit comfortably on. If I were to do it over again I would not use a threaded rod! It was very time consuming to thread the middle nuts.

As you can see from the reel rack on the right. I attempted to bypass threading the center support and ended up with it sagging in the middle.

As you can see we have a variety of colors including rainbow, metallic, and glow in the dark!
